Survey results are used to determine whether, and the conditions under which, accreditation should be awarded the organization. The Fort George G. Meade U.S. Army Medical Department Activity (MEDDAC) is periodically surveyed by The Joint Commission (TJC); the last survey took place in April 2013. Surveys are unannounced.
